Welcome to Spring at McDonald's Greenhouse!

As always, we are "Growing to Serve You!" 2011 was the wettest on record in Muskingum County.  Time will tell for 2012.  We are busy planting in the greenhouses.  It’s so enjoyable to be in warm, soil-smelling greenhouses on a cool, windy Spring day.  We enjoy our employee family, full-time and seasonal.  It’s always nice to get together after a long winter break to rib each other while working hard side-by-side. 
We are planting thousands and thousands of seeds and baby plugs to grow up into beautiful annuals and perennials for your flower beds.  We have an ever-growing selection of vegetable and herb plants for your garden as well.

James is serving his fourth term as Muskingum County Farm Bureau President, and really enjoying the experience. He is very eager for every chance to promote agriculture and teach others how food gets to our tables. Our boys are growing every year as well.  At ages 5 & 6, they are more helpful in the greenhouses than ever (or is it just less destructive?). 

Whether you are a seasoned gardener or a weekend warrior, we are sure to have plenty of variety and color to suit your tastes and your taste-buds.
